Seth Rogen: George Lucas thinks world ending in 2012 “for real”
George Lucas has a Millennium Falcon in his garage, waiting to blast off to a galaxy far far away in 2012. At least that’s what ‘Green Hornet’ star Seth Rogen thinks after sitting down with the ‘Star Wars’ creator recently.
“George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it,” Rogen told the Toronto Sun.
Rogen was hanging out with both Lucas and Steven Spielberg, who Rogen said was slightly embarrassed by his friend’s theories.
“[Lucas is] going on about the tectonic plates and all the time Spielberg is, like, rolling his eyes, like, ’My nerdy friend won’t shut up, I’m sorry…’” Rogen said.
Rogen said he assumed the multimillionaire would have built a spaceship and had it waiting if he truly believed the world would come to an end in 12-24 months.
“He claimed he didn’t have a spaceship, but there’s no doubt there’s a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere with a pilot just waiting to go,” Rogen said. “It’s gonna be him and Steven Spielberg and I’ll be blown up like the rest of us.”
