Kate Middleton and Prince William to get a massive, $120 million wedding gift

Kate Middleton and her future husband, Britain’s Prince William, are set for an extra special and very expensive wedding present!

According to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, the couple — who are set to tie the knot on April 29 — will receive their very own crown jewels worth $120 million.

Billionaires based in Saudi Arabia are trying to buy the couple a fabled set of colored diamonds called the Rainbow Collection, reports the Mirror.

The 301 stones the couple could be given are the world’s largest and finest assortment of colored diamonds, owned by gems dealer Eddy Elzas.

A member of the Saudi Arabian royal family tried to buy them as a wedding gift for Prince Charles and Princess Diana in 1981, but the offer was turned down by Mr Elzas.

“Lots of Middle Eastern investors are keen to buy the collection and give them to William and Kate because it would be a huge badge of honor,” a source said.

“A deal is now very close to being done and an announcement is set to be made soon. Mr Elzas is due to retire soon so is looking to sell. But he will only sell if they go to William and Kate. He thinks it would be a fitting gift for the couple.”

Recent reports claimed William and Kate want rocker Paul McCartney to perform on their big day. William and Kate have chosen their wedding list and Paul McCartney is their number one choice to perform,” a source said.

“They can’t think of anyone more perfect to kick off proceedings.”

Paul, 68, is said to have confided in pals that he feels “privileged” after receiving the invitation a few weeks ago.

“Prince William is following in his mother Princess Diana’s footsteps by inviting a host of famous friends to join him on his wedding day,” the source added.

“Paul McCartney has been asked to do a few numbers and he said he feels very privileged.”

A royal spokesperson has so far refused to confirm that the Get Back singer has been asked to play, only saying, “none of it has been finalized”.
