David Schwimmer: Baby on the way for Friends actor David Schwimmer

David Schwimmer is going to be a father. The former Friends star’s wife Zoe Buckman is pregnant with their first child and the couple are delighted with the happy news.

“They couldn’t be more thrilled,” David’s rep said.

David’s family has known about the pregnancy for the last few weeks but the couple were determined to keep the news under wraps until the time was right to share their joy with the world.

“Everyone is overjoyed for them,” a source said. “They are such a great couple and they have been thinking about having a baby since they got married in the summer. They will be great parents and this is the right time for them to start a family. This has topped off a great year for them both.”

David and British photographer Zoe met in London in 2007 when the 44-year-old star was directing comedy movie Run, Fat Boy, Run with Simon Pegg and she was working as a waitress at the Cuckoo Club.

They announced their engagement in March 2010 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in early June.
