Joel Madden won’t work with Nicole Richie

Joel Madden could never work with his baby mama Nicole Richie. Speaking to US TV show Extra, Good Charlotte rocker Joel — who’s believed to be marrying Nicole this weekend — said the couple will never collaborate on a song.

“No way! We couldn’t work together,” Madden said. “It’d be a disaster.”

Richie, 29, and Madden, 31, have been together for almost four years and have two children; Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 1.

Madden has previously credited Richie for bringing out the best in him.

“I’m the best I’ve ever been,” he said. “I have two kids that are my life — they’re my entire world. I have an awesome partner who is really supportive; She makes me the best version of myself that I’ve ever been.”

Although he admits becoming a father was shock at first he has always been determined to stand up to his responsibilities.

“I think you can decide to be the best dad and partner you can be, or you can run from it,” he said.

“It’s a heavy thing when your life changes. But my kids make me feel good about myself. I’m not really worried about succeeding or failing.”
