George Clooney: Young people shouldn’t mess with their faces
George Clooney thinks people under the age of 30 must be extremely “unhappy” to sign up for cosmetic surgery. The Hollywood actor — whose new movie, The American, is shockingly terrible — went under the knife several years ago to remove excess skin around his eyes, but is convinced people in their twenties shouldn’t be using surgery to boost their self-esteem.
“It’s fine for other people and if people want to do something that makes them feel better, good luck to them,” he said.
“The times I worry are when I see some of the younger people out there messing with their faces because I think that’s a mistake. I worry about people who are so unhappy with the way they look that they start trying to look younger at 25.”
Recent reports claimed Clooney is helping girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis launch an acting career.
“George’s sudden change of heart proves he’s totally lost his heart,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.
“Elisabetta’s appeared in minor acting roles, and lately she’s gotten half a dozen juicy movie offers — mainly because of the couple’s highly publicized romance.
“But George pooh-poohed every deal. He told her she wasn’t ready for leading lady status. Talk about tension! Elisabetta felt George wanted her to be content sharing his limelight, instead of creating her own, so she gave him an ultimatum: She’ll chase her dream of stardom — with him or without him.”
The source says George has enrolled Elisabetta in acting classes with top professionals, personally reads scripts she’s offered and coaches her daily.
“George is telling pals he loves Elisabetta more than any woman he’s ever known,” said the pal. “
“He’s helping her with her movie career — and grooming her as his leading lady!”
