Britney Spears denies being in a bad romance
Britney Spears‘ boyfriend Jason Trawick hasn’t been hitting the troubled singer — despite reports to the contrary. America’s Star magazine claims in its latest issue to have spoken to Spears’ former husband Jason Alexander.
Alexander apparently said Britney confided to him that Jason beat her — on multiple occasions.
“Britney is in an abusive relationship,” Alexander said. “She told me her life had turned into a nightmare.”
Alexander claimed that Trawick hit Spears “so hard it gave her a black eye” and that the pop diva had been pregnant with Trawick’s child earlier this year.
Jason — whose 55-hour marriage to Spears was annulled in 2004 — said he was going public with the story because he’s “really concerned” for Britney who he feels is “telling me these secrets as a way of getting out of this.”
But Spears’ team has spoken out to set the record straight — and reveal they’re planning to take legal action.
“Every aspect of the story published by Star magazine is completely and utterly false and Star magazine was informed of the falsity of this story before it was published,” said a statement released to GossipCop.
“The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years. The audio recording posted on Radaronline this morning purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable.
“Suffice it to say, that Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney. This is just another example of the irresponsible nature of the tabloid media relying on shoddy sources and false information for the sole purpose of selling magazines, without regard to the truth and without regard to who they hurt in the process.
“These irresponsible statements are defamatory and Britney Spears’ legal team will be taking legal action against all of the appropriate parties. ”
