Michael Douglas took family to Florida as a thank you
Michael Douglas took his family to Florida to thank them for being so supportive during his battle with cancer. The 66-year-old actor, his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and the couple’s two children spent Thanksgiving weekend at a pair of Florida theme parks.
“The trip was Michael’s idea. He wanted to take Catherine and the kids to the happiest place on earth after the hell the entire family has been through,” a source told the PopEater website.
“Michael couldn’t look or feel healthier.
“After eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy and a long time at home recuperating in his NYC apartment, Michael wanted to have some fun with his family.
“Now he knows how lucky he is every day to be surrounded by his amazing wife and children.
“It’s something he will never take for granted again.”
Recent reports claimed Catherine and Michael have fallen deeper in love following the legends battle with cancer and are keen to reaffirm their commitment to each other.
“Both Catherine and Michael know this marriage is forever, so they’ve decided to renew their vows,” a source said. “They fall deeper and deeper in love every day.
“They’re going to have intimate ceremony.
“It’ll be exactly what Michael needs to give him strength, something to look forward to that will lift his spirits.”
According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, Catherine and Michael will invited their closet friend and family to the celebration, which they hope to throw by year’s end.”
