Christina Aguilera: Cher has given me so much advice

Christina Aguilera says Cher gave her “so much advice” while filming their new movie Burlesque. “She gave me so much advice, both personally and professionally,” said Aguilera, who recently filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman.

“She didn’t even have to open her mouth.

“She is just such an incredible presence and person.”

Cher recently admitted she and Christina have been through similar experiences in their lives, which she believes helped the two stars to “connect”.

“You just understand the person,” she said. “Our relationship was good on screen and off screen. Of course I’ve been through all the things that she’s going through so you can tell somebody, ‘I did this. This is what happened. Don’t sweat that. Watch out for that’.

“It was a way of connecting that also made us connect closer on the set.”

Meanwhile, Aguilera has reportedly hooked up with production assistant Matthew Rutler, who’s also a guitarist in the Nate Mott Band.

And insiders fear Rutler could end up causing Aguilera even more heartbreak.

“Christina is completely taken with Matthew,” a pal told America’s Star magazine.

“But he’s a wild rocker type with a reputation as a ladies’ man.

“He networks like crazy with all the big names she introduces him to. He’s a major operator.

“And everything is on her dime, because he’s broke. Matt used to live in a crummy apartment with roommates; now he’s at her Beverly Hills mansion every night. He’s in heaven!

“She’s so fragile and isn’t seeing clearly. Everyone is concerned that it’s too much, too soon.”
