Dwayne Johnson desperately wants to play superman

Dwayne Johnson wants to be Superman! The actor has insisted he’s not in talks to play the superhero — but joked he’d be perfect for the role.

Johnson — who is rumored to be on the shortlist to play the superhero — said he was friends with the new movie’s director Zack Snyder but they hadn’t discussed the film.

“I love Zack Snyder, I’m a big fan of his,” he said. “We’re buddies and I don’t believe the rumors to be true. But I would make a great Superman!”

In the star’s latest action role Faster, he gets plenty of opportunity to flex his acting muscles, playing a pumped-up newly-released prisoner who’s out to avenge his brother’s murder.

“I was emotionally exhausted. The physical (part) was one thing, I can enjoy that, but the emotion… I didn’t have a lot of words but you’re still carrying everything internally,” he said.
