Anne Hathaway is planning to take a break from romantic comedies

The actress — who can currently be seen starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in new movie Love and Other Drugs — says she wants to focus on other genres of movie.

“I don’t want to focus on romance for a while,” she said. “I think I’ve exhausted that muscle.

“I want to fly a spaceship. And I want to shoot a laser into some intergalactic goop.”

Anne — who is dating actor Adam Shulman – recently revealed she dreams of owning homes all over the world with her family later in her life because she can’t imagine herself settling down in one place.

“I’d like to be a mother,” she said. “I’d like to travel. I would like to own homes in lots of places, because I have the gypsy wanderlust within me. All actors have it, we don’t like to stay in one place too long.”
