Katherine Heigl: Some of my films will bomb at the box office
Katherine Heigl has come to terms with the fact some of her movies will bomb at the box office.
The former Grey’s Anatomy star — who has starred in a string of box office successes, including the The Ugly Truth and 27 Dresses — isn’t worried about having to prove that she’s a draw.
“Every freaking movie that I have coming out, they still are like, ‘This is the one that is going to prove whether or not she’s got box-office power’,” Heigl told Parade magazine.
“I’m like, ‘Please don’t do that.’ You are going to have some that don’t do well. That’s just life. I can’t control it.”
Heigl says she’s used to ease her stress by smoking.
“Now I use an electronic cigarette. I know it’s ridiculous, but it’s helping me not to actually smoke real cigarettes,” she said.
“You feel like you are smoking, and you get to exhale but it’s just water vapor and not nicotine. I’ve been doing it for six months. Smoking sucks!
“The one thing I would say to my kid is, ‘It’s not just that it’s bad for you. Do you want to spend the rest of your life fighting a stupid addiction to a stupid thing that doesn’t even really give you a good buzz?’”
