Vanessa Williams loving desperate housewives

Vanessa Williams is feeling at home on Wisteria Lane! The former Ugly Betty star says she loves being in the cast of Desperate Housewives alongside Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker and co.

“It’s been amazing,” she said.

“When you do an ensemble piece like this on a weekly basis, it becomes family and that’s what we are now. It makes it fun coming to work every day.”

Vanessa — who’s mom to Melanie, 22, Jillian, 20, Devin, 17, and Sasha Gabrielle, 10 — recently revealed she has become “stronger and more confident” as she’s gotten older.

“I became a mom when I was so young, so I’ve always had my career along with my children,” she said earlier this year.

“Just eight weeks after I’d had my second child, I had to go to England to promote my album for 10 days. So I dragged my breast pump through airport security.

“I was so weepy to be leaving my newborn.

“Maybe 10 years later, I’d have said no to the trip. As you get older, you get stronger and more confident, and you get more accustomed to saying no and to knowing your boundaries.”
