OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke’s best night of [her] life was when Brad Pitt tried to buy a date with her. The 31-year-old actress was overwhelmed with excitement when the ‘Moneyball’ star placed a bid to view an upcoming episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ with her during a silent auction at Sean Penn’s annual gala for Haiti, at Milk Studios in Los Angeles, California, in January – but he ultimately lost out to a higher offer, Variety.com mediates.
Speaking on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ she explained: “There was an auction for a charity do that I was asked to take part in so I offered time with myself. As the bidding started I realised Brad Pitt was trying to buy me. I looked across the room and he had his paddle up! Sadly, he was outbid and it didn’t work out.”
The ‘Fury’ actor saw his $120,000 bid at the auction dwarfed by that of an unnamed purchaser, who paid $160,000 for the experience. Brad had initially bid $80,000 before upping his offer to $90,000.
When another ‘Game of Thrones’ star, Kit Harington – who had been seated at a separate table to Emilia – returned to the room after a bathroom break, he also offered to sit in on the episode viewing, prompting the 54-year-old actor to again raise his bid to $120,000.
However, the exciting lot was won by the other attendee.
