Taylor Swift and Kanye West to perform at MTV VMAS!
Kayne West and Taylor Swift will perform at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards. But not together! Swift, 20, will take the stage to perform at the ceremony — one year after West ambushed her as she accepted the award for Best Female Video, according to Us Weekly magazine.
Taylor was spotted rehearsing for the MTV fete Friday evening at L.A.’s Nokia Theater, while West, whose performance was confirmed last month, was in New York City for Fashion Week events.
The pair is not expected to share the stage.
Last weekend, the Stronger rapper tweeted that he “wrote a song for Taylor that’s so beautiful,” and if she rejects it, then he’ll perform it for her.
But sources close to Taylor say the country music star wants nothing to do with West.
“Taylor writes her own sounds and has been very successful at it,” an insider told PopEater.
“Why would she want to sing one of Kanye’s songs? The last thing she wants to do is give him any more attention or make him any money.
“It’s just another insult that this fool thinks she would sing a song he wrote.
“His ego is out of control. If anything, Kanye should be singing a song that Taylor wrote, not the other way around. As far as Taylor is concerned, he can take his song and shove it.”
