Nicolas Cage to star in Bollywood movie

Nicolas Cage (46) is reportedly set to star in a Bollywood gangster film! The actor has landed a leading role in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next project Broken Horses.

Chopra is in Los Angeles casting for the movie ahead of filming which is due to start early next year.

Broken Horses will be a remake of Chopra’s earlier hit, Parinda, which starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

“Cage has been confirmed for one of the leading roles just a few days ago,” a source told Indian newspaper The Hindustan Times.

“Broken Horses keeps the soul of Parinda intact. But it explores the same genre in a diverse setup.”

Cage recently revealed he used to envision his life as a film.

“I would watch the TV intently and try to figure out how to get inside it from the living room carpet,” he said.

“Going to elementary school, I envisaged crane shots of myself which would widen out to show me as this tiny little boy walking down the street.

“But it wasn’t until I was 15 that I went to the New Beverly Cinema, a little arthouse cinema in Los Angeles, and I discovered James Dean in East of Eden. The scene where he’s trying to give Raymond Massey the money from the beans he sold on his father’s birthday blew my mind.”
