Lindsay Lohan has had her driving license returned
The troubled actress — who was released from UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday — reapplied for her vehicular documents Thursday but within hours of obtaining a hire car was already tired of receiving attention while out on the road.
Hours after picking up a car, she tweeted, “Clearly.. Paparazzi shouldn’t be allowed to take pictures or video while someone’s driving or at a stop light. 4every1’s sake #trafficpolice (sic).”
Lindsay — who was sentenced to 90 days in prison and 90 days in rehab for breaching the terms of probation set for a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) — was able to apply for a new license because she had served her sentence.
“Lindsay went to the DMV in Santa Monica today,” a source said. “You’re not allowed to drive if you are on probation for DUI, but she went to jail for ignoring her rules of probation on DUI, and she’s served her time so she can re-apply.”
Although she has been released from rehab after just 22 days, the 24-year-old star — who spent only 13 days in jail — has been ordered to continue drug counseling, and has to submit to random testing for drugs and alcohol.
She must also remain in Los Angeles until at least November 1, when a progress hearing will take place.
