John Lithgow: Michael C. Hall is doing very well after cancer battle

John Lithgow has some good news! The actor says his Dexter costar Michael C. Hall is doing “very, very well” — seven months after announcing that he was in remission from cancer.

“I was really encouraged by his last e-mail. He’s had no troubles working five days a week.,” Lithgow said. “It sounds like he’s doing very, very well.”

After winning best guest actor at the 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards in LA, John credited Michael for helping him play his role as a serial killer on the Showtime series with such intensity.

“We just kept working and working and working on every tiny detail,” he added.

Recent reports claimed Hall and his wife, Jennifer Carpenter, are planning to start a family.

“They’re all set to start trying,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine.

“Jen is taking prenatal vitamins and reading every book about babies she can get her hands on.”
