Gibson´s friends turn their backs on him

Mel Gibson is running out of friends! Sources say pals who once defended the troubled actor — whose reputation and career has been left in tatters after tapes of him verbally abusing his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva were leaked online — are turning their backs on him.

One leaked tape features Mel telling Oksana — with whom he has an eight-month-old daughter — she needed a “bat in the side of the head”.

An extended release of a previous clip also shows Mel —who has been dropped by his agent in the light of the revelations — admit to hitting the Russian singer in the face while she held their baby.

“None of his friends, even those who have defended him in the past, want anything to do with him publicly or privately,” an insider told PopEater.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Gibson sought therapy over his “unhealthy” relationship with Grigorieva.
“He realized how unhealthy the relationship was and recognized that they were in a bad place and he was getting his buttons pushed,” a source told People magazine.

“He wanted to figure out how to extricate himself from this unhealthy relationship peacefully and calmly. Which is what he did.

“He’s [currently] coping as well as can be expected.”
