Duchess Catherine to visit Lawn Tennis Association next week

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will visit the Lawn Tennis Association next week.
The 35-year-old royal – who is currently expecting her third child with her husband Prince William – is expected to pay a visit to the London association on Tuesday (31.10.17), where she will meet with young people who are taking a keen interest in the sport.
Whilst there, Catherine – who has four-year-old son Prince George and two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte with her spouse – will watch several on-court sessions, including a wheelchair tennis demonstration, and take part in the Tennis for Kids session, which is an LTA-run programme which teaches young children, aged five to eight years old, how to play and enjoy tennis.
The royal – who is a keen tennis player herself and often attends the Wimbledon tennis tournament – will also be briefed about the LTA’s latest activities and objectives, as well as having the chance to meet some of the UK’s top junior talents and members of the training teams including coaches, nutritionists and physiotherapists.
Catherine, who became royal patron of the LTA in 2016 when she took over the role from Queen Elizabeth, will also meet some of the apprentices taking part in the Coach Core scheme.
The scheme was set up by Catherine alongside her husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry through their Royal Foundation, with the aim of supporting young people, aged 16 to 24 with limited opportunities, who want to become sports coaches.
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty spoke recently about her love for tennis, which she has played since she was a young girl.
She said: “I have watched Wimbledon, that was very much part of my growing up. It’s such a quintessential part of the English summer, and I think it really inspires youngsters, myself, it inspired me, when I was younger to get involved in the game. It hasn’t changed either, I think that’s what’s so wonderful.”
