Cheryl Tweedy wants to expand her Surrey home
OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Tweedy is set to expand the size of her Surrey home by double.
The 34-year-old singer and her 24-year-old boyfriend – who have five-month-old son Bear together – are reportedly planning to develop their country mansion, which is situated in Woking, Surrey, the Mail Online has reported.
It is believed the couple have previously sent off a number of planning applications to the council in a bid to modify their home, which Liam purchased for over £5 million two years ago in March 2015.
But it is rumoured the plans over the last three years haven’t been accepted by Woking Borough Council because their ideas, which included a super garage to be made to home their vast collection of luxury cars, were deemed inappropriate and threatened to ruin the environment.
However, the Girls Aloud band member and the ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker have since resubmitted new planning application, which includes a two-bay garage that connects to an indoor pool and the guest house, which will home Cheryl’s mother, Joan, as well as a single story extended area to their home.
It is believed the ‘Fight For This Love’ hitmaker is keen to build a designated space for her parent so she can be on hand to look after their baby.
The planning statement reads: “The existing and original house at Hampton Manor has a footprint of 433 square metres, an overall floor area of 1024 square metres and a cubic content of 3437 cubic metres.
“The proposed extension, including the basement and two-bay garage would have a floor area of 473 square metres and a cubic content of 2494 cubic metres.
This amounts to a total increase of 71.8 per cent above the cubic content of the original dwelling.”
And it has been reported the amendments Cheryl and Liam previously submitted also saw them ask for a tropical plant area, a jacuzzi, as well as a basement area, a gym and games room.
