OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hughes “hates” his new-found fame. The ‘Love Island’ hunk became a fan favourite while he was taking part in the reality TV show over the summer months but he has admitted he’s still adjusting to the lifestyle and wishes he could go back home and escape the limelight for a bit. Speaking to new! magazine, he said: “I hate it. I hate fame – straight up. “I’m nice, so I smile all the time when people want photos, but I don’t enjoy it. It’s not glamorous and I just don’t enjoy it. It’s a different lifestyle. “At times I just miss home, because all my mates are that way and my family and stuff. And it’s different – it’s quieter. I almost feel like how full-on it’s been for the three weeks since we’ve been out, that quietness would be nice.” And because he’s so popular with the ladies, the 24-year-old farmer has been snapped up for loads of personal appearances and, although he enjoys the money, he wants to cut back because he doesn’t enjoy having photographs all the time. He explained: “They’re hard. I’ve got 98 booked and I thought, ‘This is all right, it’s a good little earner.’ But they’re kind of… I drank on the first four and was there for three or four hours, and I can’t keep up with that lifestyle. So it’s just about doing what I need to do, making sure everyone has a picture and being nice really.” But Chris’ fame is no doubt set to grow even more over the coming months as he and his co-star Kem Cetinay – who developed a bromance in the villa – have been snapped up for their own television show ‘Straight Outta Love Island’. Kem said: “Me and Chris have actually got a TV show coming out about rapping. It’s coming out in October. All I can say is…it’s a little bit about the bromance and it’s a little bit a about the rapping.”
