Salma Hayek eats bugs

Salma Hayek has revealed the secret to her fabulous figure – she eats bugs. The Mexican actress has admitted she snacks on ants, worms and grasshoppers and says everyone should try the delicious creepy crawlies.

Sharing her unusual culinary tastes, she told US talk show host David Letterman: “These little ants fried are amazing – with a little guacamole. And the worms. there are many different recipes for those. The little grasshoppers have a smoky flavour to them. It’s the way they cook them, and it’s really good.”

The ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ star added: “Look, I’m salivating! They’re delicious.”

The 43-year-old actress also confessed her English has gotten worse since her 2009 marriage to French fashion tycoon Francois-Henri Pinault.

Corrected by Letterman after mixing up the words “delicacies” and “delicatessens”, Salma – who has a toddler daughter, Valentina, with Francois-Henri – said: “Yeah, sorry. My French is getting a little better – but my English is getting a lot worse.”
