OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ bosses want to take the stars of the show on a tour of the UK to meet fans in a special spin-off show.
The ITV2 reality show – which puts a group of single men and women in a villa together in the hopes of finding romance – is set to tour the country in October in a new show entitled ‘Love Island: Unleashed’, in which fans will be given the chance to get up close and personal with the stars, ask them questions and play games from the show.
Iain Stirling, who narrates the main show, is expected to front the spin-off, and sources have said it will be like “‘Celebrity Juice’ meets Dream Boys meets a massive hen night.”
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “ITV are looking at a number of opportunities for a live event for this autumn. They want to give viewers, particularly fans who can’t make the club appearances, a chance to get up close and personal with the cast.”
It’s not the only spin-off planned for this year either, as another show looking at the couples and where they’re at is also in the works.
A source said previously: “Some relationships will be nothing more than a summer holiday romance but there’s some that are going to last a lot longer.
“Each of the couples have already been pushed to the limits in a very false environment and once they’re back home, they will have more time to themselves away from the camera. There are already discussions behind the scenes as to doing a follow-up series later this year where viewers can see if islanders have stayed together at home – and whether they’re following in the footsteps of last year’s couples like Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen.
“It’s a no brainer for Love Island bosses to do a follow-up as the show has been a runaway success and everyone’s desperate to see more of their favourite couples.”
