Emily Blunt wants British jokes
Emily Blunt misses British humour. The English actress currently lives in Los Angeles with her fiancé, actor John Krasinski, and admits her US-based friends don’t always understand her jokes and phrases.
She said: “I love LA. It’s what you make of it and I’ve always felt very happy there.
“I do miss the shorthand with British actors and the ‘in’ jokes and weird sayings the Brits have.
“I was with a friend in Rome and we saw someone walk past and they were dressed in a really weird outfit. I said, ‘What’s she come as?’
“Everyone else went, ‘What do you mean?’ I had to explain to them that it was just an expression – a British thing.”
Emily’s latest movie ‘Wild Target’ saw her team up with Bill Nighy and Rupert Grint and she admits it was a delight to be able to return to London for the film.
She added: “It was great fun to shoot and it was all done in London, so that was lovely for me to be able to go back for a while.”
