Scissor Sisters excited by album leak
Jake Shears is “excited” about the Scissor Sisters’ new album being leaked. The group’s lead singer is happy his fans can enjoy ‘Night Work’ ahead of its official release and create excitement about it.
According to The Daily Star newspaper, the 31-year-old star said: “I’m actually really excited about the leak because the response has been so amazing. I went on the internet and have had a look around and I haven’t seen any negative comments. The people downloading it will be our hardcore fans who will want to hear it before everyone else.”
The band – which also consists of Babydaddy, Ana Matronic, Del Marquis and Randy Real – are set for a worldwide chart battle with
Kylie Minogue, who is releasing her hotly anticipated album `Aphrodite’ within a week of the Scissor Sisters’ effort.
But rather be worried, Jake is looking to competing with his pop star friend – who he worked with on her 2004 hit `I Believe in You’.
He said: “It’s very exciting for both of us because if we’re fighting for the top spot that means we’re both doing well. We’re both really excited and I think it’s good for us. We share a lot of fans so anything that’s going to get people out buying records is a good thing.”
