Elle Fanning's grandmother gives her the best beauty advice
OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Fanning relies on her grandmother for beauty advice.
The 18-year-old actress turns to her relative Mary Jane for tips on skincare and what cosmetic products to use on her “seriously sensitive skin”, because her grandparent always wears a full face of make-up even when she is doing mundane chores.
Speaking about her beauty secrets, the blonde beauty said: “My grandmother, Mary Jane, who lives with me and my parents, is who I go to for beauty advice. She doesn’t even put the bins out without her full make-up on, and still covers her body in talcum powder every single night.”
Although the ‘The Neon Demon’ star has revealed she admires Mary Jane and is warmed by the amount of effort she puts into her daily regime, she believes it is “good” to have a make-up free week every now and again, although she thinks it isn’t as easy to do.
She explained: “I think it’s so good to spend a week without any make-up; it’s easier said than done, but Alicia Keys is doing it.”
However, the American star has experimented with a variety of beauty trends in the past in a bid to get a clearer and blemish-free complexion, which has seen her apply toothpaste on her spots to reduce the redness, although her pale skin tone proved problematic with the antidotes.
Speaking about the products and tricks that work for her to Elle Magazine, she said: “I’ve done the toothpaste thing after desperately googling how to get rid of a spot. I have seriously sensitive skin and, because it’s so white you see every blemish.
“Make-up wipes can really irritate it so I use grapeseed oil to cleanse. It works, and it’s super cheap.”
