Kimberly Wyatt: “Aggro Santos got me into dub-step”

Kimberly Wyatt has revealed that she is a huge fan of dub-step music. The former Pussycat Doll, who features on rapper Aggro Santos’s new single ‘Candy’, also admitted that she prefers the UK music scene as there is more diversity in sounds compared to the US market.

She told the Daily Star: “Working with the Dolls was like the best boot camp ever but now I’ve left I can do all the grimey, indie, different things I always wanted to do.

“Aggro got me into dub-step. We were in the studio a couple of months ago and he played me some and I was like: ‘What is this? This is dope.’

“You have all these different sounds that we don’t have in the States, unless you really go out looking for it, so I want to pull all these influences together in my new music. It’s exciting to finally meet people who get me and get different sounds and want to do it with me.”

She added: “While pop is great you’ve got to bring something new to the table and change the game.”
