Louis Walsh backs Mel B for “X Factor”

Louis Walsh has predicted that Mel B would be a fantastic guest judge on “The X Factor”. The former Spice Girl has been linked to the ITV1 talent show on several occasions over the past two years.

Most recently, the star claimed that she could not talk about the programme but expected an announcement to be made about her possible involvement at some point in the near future.

Dannii Minogue will not be appearing at the auditions this year due to her pregnancy, leaving a space open on the panel.

Speaking of possible replacements, Walsh is quoted by The Mirror as saying: “Mel B would be my first choice, without doubt. I’ve always championed her both professionally and personally as I know she’d be fantastic – really opinionated and gobby.”

He added: “She would be just as good as Cheryl Cole as a judge, if not better.”
