OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Heaton loves to feel “a little bit” sore after a workout.
The 37-year-old former Liberty X singer has opened up about her fitness regime and has revealed she loves nothing more than hitting the gym and undergoing gruelling exercises, which leave her in absolute agony the next day.
Speaking to Now magazine about her fitness regime, the brunette beauty said: “I like feeling a little bit sore the next day. And when I don’t exercise I don’t eat well.”
The mother-of-two – who has four-year-old daughter Faith, and two-year-old son Aaron with her husband Hugh Hanley – has revealed she includes weight training in her fitness plan four times a week, which is followed by a high-intensity cardio session, as well as long distance run once a week.
She explained: “I do weights four times a week. I think lots of women are scared of lifting heavy weights, but it really doesn’t bulk you up. You need to lift them to tone and give you a sculptured look.
“[My workout is] about an hour [long], plus high-intensity cardio sessions for 20 – 30 minutes. I’ll have a long run once a week, too.”
And Michelle has admitted she is already noticing the significant change in her body shape.
She explained: ” [My favourite body part is] my arms. I can see the results of my hard work and eating well.”
Although the ‘Just A Little Bit’ hitmaker – who underwent a double mastectomy following a breast cancer scare in 2012 – has admitted to following a healthy diet, she has also revealed she does indulge in some unhealthy treats from time to time.
Speaking about her cheat meals, Michelle said: “Sushi. People say that it’s healthy but it’s really not. I love Galaxy, too.”
