Metallica still tweaking new album

OHMYGOSSIP — Metallica are still making changes to their album – nine weeks before its release date.
James Hetfield has revealed the group are still hard at work on their new album ‘Hardwired… To Self Destruct’, which is due to be released on November 18.
He told US radio station 93.3WMMR: “There’s always something: ‘Ah, this is a little too long-winded. Let’s cut this out. Let’s make this a little more potent.’
“We’re craftsmen, and we want to make this as sharp and potent as possible. So all the way up to the last minute, even the running order, there’s always something we’re thinking about and trying to make it the best.
“It is, by all means, done as far as songs go. So it’s just artwork and little things here and there we’re still working on.”
Meanwhile, drummer Lars Ulrich previously revealed the group have remained a “level-headed” band because they were inspired to do so by Iron Maiden and Motorhead.
He said: “I would like to think that we have dealt with the success that we’ve been fortunate enough to have come our way in a fairly level-headed way.
“The bands that inspired us and the bands that made us want to be in a band ourselves – like the Motörheads and the Diamond Heads and the Iron Maidens of the world – were all bands that were very level-headed and had their feet firmly planted on the ground.
“So we’ve always tried to have an open door with our fans and be as accessible as possible, given whatever dynamics and circumstances were happening at the time.”
