Aaron Sorkin to pen John Edwards film?
Aaron Sorkin, an American screenwriter, producer and playwright, whose works include A Few Good Men, The American President, The West Wing, Sports Night, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The Farnsworth Invention, is reportedly in talks to write a movie about politician John Edwards.
Edwards caused controversy earlier this year when he confessed that he had fathered a child with his former mistress Rielle Hunter.
According to the New York Daily News, Sorkin is now in negotiations to adapt The Politician, a memoir by Edwards’s former aide Andrew Young.
“I’ve heard a lot of strong names. I’d be honoured if A. Sorkin is one of them,” Young said.
48-year-old Sorkin has recently penned scripts for Brad Pitt’s baseball drama Moneyball & a movie about Facebook, The Social Network.
