Mark Strong hoping for Guy Ritchie King Arthur role
Mark Strong (born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia), an English actor, best known for playing villains in the 2000s films Body of Lies, The Young Victoria, Sherlock Holmes, RocknRolla, and Stardust, has revealed that he would like a role in Guy Ritchie’s new movie project. Last month, it was confirmed that Ritchie will direct a film based on “King Arthur”.
46-year-old Strong, who worked with Ritchie on Revolver, RocknRolla and Sherlock Holmes, has now said that he would love to team up with the director again.
According to The Mirror, Strong explained: “Maybe, a bit of Arthurian legend and sword-swinging and all that. I am not sure if that’s happening or not but I love working with Guy Ritchie. He makes such a comfortable set I’d be there any time. I could be a knight in shining armour.”
Strong also said that he is proud of the success of “Sherlock Holmes”, saying: “That was our third film together and I am really pleased that it’s done so well.”
