OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre is “very excited” to have landed a new TV role.
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker will portray megalomaniac Hector Laidlaw in ‘Falcon’, a thriller hailed as a cross between ‘Indiana Jones and ‘The Da Vinci Code’, opposite ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ actor Noah Huntley in the lead role of Greg Falcon.
The four-part series will follow Greg as he stumbles across a dark online scheme that could destabilise the world while vacationing in Malta, and his findings lead him to team up with Professor Victoria Bassey (Victoria Ekanoye) to uncover a plot that dates back almost two thousand years.
The duo face a race against time when they come up against internet fiend Laidlaw.
Peter said of his role: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge. The character is fantastic; he has a dark side, he’s clever, deep, and very dangerous. ‘Falcon’ is going to be a great series, and I am very excited to be working alongside such an incredible cast”.
The show will also star Daniel Coll, Richard Ashton, Joe Savino and local talent from Malta.
Producer and star Daniel said: “Written by the brilliant Dave Thorp this show will be thrilling to watch and great family viewing, with a fabulous cast. We look forward to ‘Falcon’ hitting TV screens next summer.”
The series is being made by Picture Point Films and will be set entirely in Malta and Gozo.
Peter recently hinted the project was in the pipeline.
He wrote in his column for new! magazine: “I’ve got a huge part in a new Channel 5 drama as one of the lead characters, which I’m excited about.
“I can’t reveal the name of it yet, or give much away, but I start filming next month and can’t wait to get stuck in.”
