Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff ‘has returned to TV work after horror Top Gear crash’

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff is said to have returned to TV work for the first time since his horror ‘Top Gear’ crash.
The former cricketer, 46, has reportedly been in planning meetings with production company South Shore for the second series of his BBC One cricket show ‘Field of Dreams’.
A TV source told The Sun: “Freddie and staff have been quietly working on it since last month.
“It’s a show he feels passionate about and he’s excited to be returning to the grass roots of the sport.
“It will be his first major TV project in two years. Filming will start in a few months, when it’s warmer outside, and will take place in the north of England.
“A lot of the same production team will be involved in this series so Freddie will feel comfortable ahead of his big telly return.”
Freddie is also said to have been liaising with the crew and is expected to begin filming on the programme – which sees him introducing children to the joys of cricket – in the spring.
The dad-of-four was involved in his horrific ‘Top Gear’ crash when he was driving an open-topped three wheeled car without a helmet when it flipped at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey in December 2022.
He was airlifted to hospital and left with severe facial injuries and broken ribs.
‘Top Gear’ has since been axes and the BBC reached a £9 million settlement with the ex-cricketer.
As well as returning to TV Freddie has also taken up a role as head coach of cricket team Northern Superchargers in The Hundred and completed some work last year as a consultant coach with the England cricket team.
