Former Lib Dem MP Lembit Opik wants to return for I’m A Celeb All Stars spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Lembit Opik wants to return to the jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity All-Stars’.
The former Liberal Democrats politician took part in the tenth season of the ITV reality show back in 2010 where he finished in 11th place and over the years, the series has welcomed a number of political figures onto the programme, including Nadine Dorries, Brian Paddick, Edwina Currie and Boris Johnson’s father Stanley Johnson.
ITV is bringing back legendary campmates for a spin-off show that’s being filmed in South Africa this year and Lembit is hoping to make a comeback.
He told the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column: “Nadine Dorries will be a bit busy to jump in that jungle shower now. But I’m game.”
The ex-MP – who camped with Gillian McKeith, Shaun Ryder, Dom Joly and Stacey Solomon, who was ultimately crowned Queen of the Jungle – believes he’s the “best of the bunch” and deserves a place over his fellow campmates because he was fearless when it came to taking part in the infamous Bushtucker Trials
Lembit, 57, added: “I’d jump on a plane tomorrow for another stint.
“I think I was a good campmate. I wasn’t scared of beasts, I didn’t mind the trials and unlike many of the celebrities, I had more common sense and the ability to laugh at myself.”
ITV bosses have reportedly been in talks with Myleene Klass, Paul Burrell, Stacey Solomon, David Van Day and Gillian McKeith for the spin-off series that’s set to air in 2023.
