Britain’s Princess Charlotte gets $200,000 gift

OHMYGOSSIP — Britain’s Princess Charlotte has been given a $200,000 christening painting of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.

The two-month-old tot was showered with gifts when she was christened on July 5, with one particularly lavish gift being an oil painting which is said to be a direct copy of the original billboard advertising Disney’s ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.

The privately commissioned piece of art depicting a scene from the 1937 Disney animation has been created by artist Stephen Cawston on a seven foot-wide canvas.

In total, the piece took one month to complete and is currently on display at the Homarge Gallery in London before it is transported to Kensington Palace.

Although a source confirmed to Us Weekly magazine the gallery was “commissioned to paint a picture for the Cambridges”, Stephen has refused to disclose the identity of the person who requested the artwork.

Other gifts received by the young royal included a solid silver photo frame from her grandfather Prince Charles, with the item containing a picture of the Prince of Wales with his grandchildren.

Meanwhile, the princess’ aunt Pippa Middleton – who is the younger sister of Duchess Catherine – is believed to have given her a selection of designer clothes.
