Prince Charles meets Ant and Dec
OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles has met TV stars Ant and Dec on his summer visit of Wales. The 66-year-old royal, who started his tour alongside his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, yesterday (07.07.15), met the award-winning duo in Bridgend, where they are currently making a documentary film about the work of The Prince’s Trust.
Upon seeing the prince, Ant – whose real name is Anthony McPartlin – quipped: “I have to say I didn’t expect to be meeting you here.”
The trio chatted about a project that seeks to rehabilitate offenders through football, giving them the life skills and motivation to make the transition into the world of work.
Among the people the prince spoke to was Toby Guest, 27, who once faced a five-year sentence for drug offences.
Toby told Wales Online: “I made mistakes in the past but the course helped me to gain a sense in belief that I could restart my life in a positive light.
“Before that I was unmotivated and I’d lost all my confidence.
“The programme and the support I received helped me to see a light at the end of the tunnel.”
