Cody Simpson’s proposal permission

OHMYGOSSIP — Mohamed Hadid says Cody Simpson will need to get permission from him before he proposes to his daughter Gigi in the future.

Cody Simpson will have to get Gigi Hadid’s father’s approval before asking to marry her. Mohamed Hadid has insisted if the ‘Pretty Brown Eyes’ hitmaker wants to wed his daughter in the future, he will need to ask his permission before he asks for her hand.

When asked if Cody has to run the proposal by Mohamed, he said: “Absolutely; he has to ask for the hand … and the legs.”

It’s unlikely, though, that Mohamed would bother saying no to the pair after he also admitted they “don’t … listen to anybody”.

He told gossip website TMZ: “I love [Cody]. I think when they’re ready, they can talk about marriage. That’s up to them.

“They are mature kids. I don’t think they will listen to anybody; they will probably do whatever they can.”

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old singer previously revealed he was “dedicated” to making it work with the 19-year-old model.

He said: “We definitely make it work. We see each other a lot more than you would expect because we’re sort of dedicated to making it work, and it’s not too stressful.

“It’s honestly like, we try to stay in a bit. We try to stay, like, out of the [spotlight] – but it’s hard because she’s a model, so she’s getting taken photos of all the time and stuff like that … [but] we like to just try to stay low [key]. I’m not a massive fan of having my photo taken and stuff.”
