Chloe Sevigny’s new collection inspired by her school days
OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Sevigny has revealed a skirt in her latest clothing line for Opening Ceremony was inspired by her love of high school hockey kits.
The 40-year-old actress and model pays tribute to her childhood in her spring line for the US brand and even designed a mini skirt in homage to her high school’s hockey kit.
She said: “In high school, I was always envious of the girls who played field hockey when they wore their uniforms to school on game day.
“A simple plaid skirt is classic and adorable. It’s the jeans of skirts – very versatile. I have one in my spring collection for Opening Ceremony that’s light in both colour and weight.”
The blonde beauty also shared her obsession with late Hollywood star Jean Marlow and confessed she admires the ’30s screen icon’s “odd beauty” and “sex appeal”.
She told W magazine:”Harlow came from one of the wealthiest families in the Midwest but was typecast as a tramp and a gangster’s moll – a classic example of Hollywood pigeonholing.
“She was one of the greatest faces in Hollywood history: an odd beauty with more sex appeal than anyone I’ve ever seen onscreen.”
