Duke and Duchess will attend Royal Variety Performance
OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and his wife, Duchess Catherine are to attend the Royal Variety Performance at London’s Palladium theatre for the first time next week.
The royal couple – who have 13-month-old son Prince George together – will take in the night of music, theatre, comedy and dance for the first time ever next week in the London Palladium’s Royal box.
Duchess Catherine – who is expecting her and Prince William’s second child – will also meet with the acts performing at the show on November 13, which include Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winners Collabro.
The star-studded event is to be hosted by former BGT judge and funnyman Michael McIntyre while his fellow comedians Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall, Sarah Millican and Trevor Noah will provide the stand-up comedy.
Meanwhile, Catherine, 32 – who is also known as Kate Middleton – is scheduled to carry out a solo engagement the day before the Royal Variety show, which will see her attend a workshop run by youth charity SportsAid.
The Duchess, who is a keen fan of sports including sailing, tennis and hockey, has been patron of the charity that provides aspiring athletes with financial support since 2013.
The brunette beauty will travel to the GSK Human Performance Lab in Brentford, west London, where she will meet with young athletes hoping to compete in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
The aspiring sportsmen and women will take part in a number of advanced performance tests in a special environmental chamber set to match the heat and humidity of the Japanese city.
