Lily Allen’s sister is her fashion idol

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Allen’s sister is her fashion idol. The ‘Sheezus’ singer – who is known for her trademark quirky and colourful style – was inspired by her older sister, Sarah’s ”garage raving” outfits and aspired to be like her as she grew up.

She told The Metro newspaper: ”My mum has big boobs and good shoes. So I used to play dress-up with her stuff. But my sister was my idol growing up.

”She was part of that whole garage raving thing and used to wear Versace two-piece denim outfits. I thought she was a legend and I aspired to be like her.”

Lily, 29 – who recently launched her own collection of fake nail sets for beauty accessories company Elegant Touch – also admitted she finds it difficult to express her emotions outside of music so chooses nail polish shades and outfits that reflect her mood.

She said: ”Nails and a blow-dry are a fail safe confidence-booster. Nails are a great way for me to express myself. I can communicate my feelings well in my songs but I’m not very good at doing it face to face.

”Sometimes the way I dress and present myself will give people the red or green light on how to approach.”
