Cressida Bonas and Kate Middleton hated each other?

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry‘s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas didn’t get along with Kate Middleton. Sources say the pair decided to go their separate ways after Cressida told Harry that she doesn’t want to marry into the royal family, according to tabloid reports, and just wants to lead her life away from the spotlight.

“Harry and Cressie have split,” said a source. “Harry wants to settle down and get married like his brother, Prince William. But Cressie is still young and had huge reservations about marrying into the royal family.

“They had a chat over the weekend and decided it’s best they cool things off. Harry’s hoping she’ll change her mind, but for now the romance is very much off.”

Cressida’s shaky relationship with Kate also played a part in the breakdown of their relationship.

“Kate and Cressie just didn’t get along,” a source said. “Kate initially thought Cressie and Harry were the real deal and their relationship would end in marriage. But in the end, she just couldn’t warm to her.

“She tried to give Cressie guidance. If anyone knows about how to be an outside in the Royal Family, it’s Kate. But Cressie didn’t seem interested.

“William had words with Harry, and told him friction between between the women could cause a major problem in the long term.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time there has been gossip about Kate’s relationship with Cressida.

Back in March, it was claimed the pair were forced to get along.

It was also reported that Kate banned Cressie from spending time with baby Prince George — unless she’s accompanied by a nanny.

“Harry and Cressida have offered on a number of occasions to watch George while his brother and Kate go out for an evening,” said a source.

“However, each time Kate squelches the offer – politely declining by saying her mother, or sister Pippa, will tend to George while they’re away. Harry finally confronted William and Kate, demanding to know why their offer to watch George is always rejected, bellowing, ‘Don’t you trust us?’

“Before William could say a word, Kate told them, ‘The truth is, I don’t!’ Kate explained that she has no problems with Harry and Cressida staying with George while she and Wills are out for an evening, but George’s nanny must be in attendance at all times.

“William tried to smooth things, saying that when George is a little older Kate may reconsider – but Kate blurted, ‘The fact is, Harry, you drink too much – and I’m not comfortable! I don’t trust leaving George in your care.’”
