Lady GaGa too high-maintenance for Troy Carter
OHMYGOSSIP — Lady GaGa was too high-maintenance for her manager. Troy Carter is parting ways from the singer because he wants to focus on his growing tech portfolio — and GaGa is a hindrance.
“Troy didn’t want to deal with the minutiae of being a day-to-day manager,” a source said.
“He’s got his hands deeper into Silicon Valley than the music biz.”
GaGa’s relationship with Vincent Herbert — who produces her albums for his Streamline Records — is also now in jeopardy, reports New York Post gossip column Page Six.
“Vincent is taking a back seat,” a source said. “At this point, she’s looking to take her career into her own hands and not have anyone involved.
“If you ask Gaga who manages her now, she’ll say, ‘Gaga’. Todd voiced his opinion about Gaga’s creative direction and didn’t care if she disagreed because he was still going to get paid anyway.”
