Leighton Meester named as Biotherm ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Leighton Meester is excited to start working as the new brand ambassador for skincare brand Biotherm. The 27-year-old actress will star in the luxury skincare brand’s upcoming campaign for 2014 and is looking forward to becoming the face of the Aquasource product.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ beauty said in a statement: “What I love most is the texture. It feels so light and fresh on my skin… I feel like I’m glowing from within.

“What I love about Biotherm is it’s always evolving and changing and becoming more modern. I think it’s empowering, I feel very lucky to be part of the brand.”

Although Leighton is known for her glamorous look, she likes nothing more than going out fresh-faced and wants more women to feel less pressure to wear make-up.

She previously said: “I don’t care if there are a million pictures of me with no make-up. I love being able to walk down the street without it. We should promote women not having to wear make-up, or at least feel we can go out without it. I know when I look at myself without make-up, I’m like, ‘I have this mark, I have dark circles, my eyelashes aren’t long’, but you have to get used to yourself without it. I’d never ever look at another woman and criticise though.”
