Duchess Catherine’s next official engagement announced

OHMYGOSSIP — Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge will attend a SportsAid event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on October 18.

Kate Middleton will make her first official engagement since giving birth next week. The 31-year-old beauty has been confirmed to attend a SportsAid event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Friday 18 October, marking a welcome return to her royal duties for the first time since Prince George was born in July.

Catherine – known as Kate Middleton before her marriage to Prince William – became a patron of youth sports charity SportsAid in April. The organisation aims to help young people build their skills, confidence and aspirations through the medium of sport.

The royal is due to take part in a training workshop and will also watch athletes take part in wheelchair basketball, CP football, volleyball, fencing and badminton.

Speculation is also rife the duchess is set to attend a medals parade with the Irish Guards on 6 December after soldiers in Afghanistan shared their excitement at the prospect of meeting Catherine on Twitter over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Catherine, William and baby George are thought to have moved into their official home, Apartment 1a at Kensington Palace, this weekend.

The 57-room apartment – which was home to the late Princess Diana – boasts two separate nurseries for the two-month-old tot, one for day, and one for night.
