Hayley Tamaddon joins Coronation Street
OHMYGOSSIP — Hayley Tamaddon has joined ‘Coronation Street’ as Andrea, the classmate of Steve McDonald after he decides to go back to school when he struggles to help his daughter Amy with her homework.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress has been cast in the ITV soap as Andrea, the classmate of Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) after he decides to go back to school when he struggles to help his daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) with her homework.
‘Coronation Street’ Producer Stuart Blackburn said: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Hayley to the show.
“She’s a great actress who I know is going to bring plenty of drama to the famous cobbles of Weatherfield.”
Andrea’s presence will cause chaos on the cobbles as Steve’s girlfriend Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) starts growing suspicious of their friendship.
Hayley shot to fame when she starred in ‘Emmerdale’ from 2005 to 2007 and she went on to finish runner-up of ‘Soapstar to Superstar’ in 2007 and win ‘Dancing on Ice’ in 2010.
The brunette beauty teamed up with professional skater and her childhood friend Dan Whiston for the competition, and she appeared on the ‘Dancing on Ice’ tour in 2011.
Hayley has also made appearances in ‘Shameless’ and ‘Waterloo Road’ and last year the 36-year-old star played the titular character in theatre production ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
