Pink: I had doubts about having kids
OHMYGOSSIP — Pink in Concert on NBC’s “Today Show” at Rockefeller Center in New York City – September 18, 2012POP punk Pink admits she was terrified of becoming a mom — until her daughter Willow Sage, 2, was born.
Speaking to GQ Australia, the singer says her rocky relationship with her own mother left her with doubts on whether she ever wanted children with husband, Carey Hart.
“I had moments where I wanted a kid with Carey. You know — you fall in love and you’re like, ‘We should have kids,’ and then it went away,” she said.
“But he always wanted kids and then we did it and now it’s like, ‘F—, this is so rad.’ It’s more important than anything we’ve done.
“Willow is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me — she’s really f—— cheeky and funny.
“Now I have someone to sing goofy-ass songs to all day and she likes it. She’s not judging me. She’s probably the only person who doesn’t judge me.
“My life hasn’t changed that much. I mean, I could do without the paparazzi taking photos of my child. But I tour, I write songs, I go through the same s— as everybody else.
“I’ve never enveloped myself in that, ‘I’m a f—— rockstar, I’m important,’ thing. I don’t get it — either you’re a good person or you’re not.”
