OHMYGOSSIP — Viola Davis is in talks to star alongside Chris Hemsworth in Michael Mann’s forthcoming cyber crime thriller.
Viola Davis may star with Chris Hemsworth in a cyber crime movie. The ‘Help’ actress is in talks to star alongside the ‘Thor’ and ‘Avengers’ actor in Michael Mann’s forthcoming untitled thriller which will begin filming in China next month, reports Deadline.
Davis would play an FBI agent in the film – which centres on cyber crime such as hacking – and would be the lead female in the flick.
The film is being produced by Legendary Pictures, the studio behind ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, the hotly anticipated ‘Man of Steel’ and the forthcoming ‘Godzilla’ reboot.
Davis recently finished filming ‘Prisoners’ with Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Terrence Howard, and ‘Ender’s Game’ with Harrison Ford, Abigail Breslin and Sir Ben Kingsley.
The Oscar-nominated actress earned critical acclaim for her role as maid Aibeleen Clark in ‘The Help’, for which she earned a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards.
She was previously nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Doubt’, while Meryl Streep was up for Best Actress.
Hemsworth will next be seen reprising his role as Norse god Thor in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ this November.
Mann is best known for directing movies such as ‘Heat’, ‘Collateral’ and ‘Public Enemies’.
