Prince Edward and Countess Sophie to attend wedding of Princess Madeleine

OHMYGOSSIP — Britain’s Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex are attending the wedding of Sweden’s Princess Madeleine to her finance fiancé Chris O’Neill on June 8, which will take place in Stockholm.

Britain’s Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex are attending the wedding of Sweden’s Princess Madeleine. The youngest son of Queen Elizabeth and his wife are to be guests at the nuptials of Madeleine and her finance fiancé Chris O’Neill on June 8, joining guests from around the globe including Denmark’s Crown Prince Fredrik and wife Mary.

Their ceremony will take place in Stockholm, where the British royals previously attended Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling’s marriage in 2010.

Speaking about the wedding preparations, Madeleine gushed: “Time flies when you’re having fun.”

Other European locations Edward and Sophie have attended for weddings include Norway, Denmark and Monaco, with the most recent being Luxembourg’s Prince Guillaume and Stephanie de Lannoy in October 2012.

Fashion fans will be anticipating what Sophie will wear for the occasion after becoming the first Patron of London College of Fashion.

A professor from the facility said at the time: “We are very proud to have The Countess of Wessex’s support and look forward to working with her.”
