Debbie Rowe supports Paris Jackson
OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie Rowe cheered on her daughter Paris Jackson as she performed at a school dance and gave her a bouquet of yellow roses afterwards.
Michael Jackson’s ex-wife proudly cheered on their daughter as she took to the stage on Saturday (20.04.13). Debbie Rowe was spotted walking into Paris Jackson’s school in Los Angeles carrying a bouquet of yellow roses for the 15-year-old student, who was performing in a dance show, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Paris expressed her delight following her performance on Twitter, writing: “Closing night was great! everyone was incredible i love you guys so much and thank you to all the people who came out to see us! (sic)”
The late King of Pop’s daughter has developed a “strong bond” with her mother over the past few months.
The pair are said to have been hanging out “a lot recently” and have gotten very close.
The teenager even celebrated her 15th birthday with Debbie – who was married to Michael from 1996 to 1999 – earlier this month.
‘Thriller’ hitmaker Michael was given full custody of Paris and her elder brother Prince Michael in 1999, and in return gave his ex-wife Debbie an $8 million settlement and a house in Beverly Hills.
Debbie then asked a judge to terminate her parental rights in 2001, before deciding to have the decision reversed when Michael was charged with 10 counts of child abuse in 2004.
Debbie reached a settlement in August 2009 with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson – who became the children’s legal guardian following her son’s death – which allowed her rights to supervised visitations.
